Ahh! School!

First of all, when the title said "ahh", it is supposed to be a scream. Second of all, school's starting this week! I sort of want it to start, so I can meet my friends, teachers, etc.  I don't want it to start because I've gotten used to the summer and all that. We are also having our ice cream social this week. I'm looking forward to that. I hope to see most of my friends there. Not all of my friends are coming to the ice cream social because of vacation. I miss my vacation in Florida. You can read my post about that, as well. And the not-so-good part is that I will have to avoid the TV and my electronics, because of school. Anyway, I wish good luck to students, professors, teachers, preschoolers, and everybody else for a new learning year.

Pictures From Florida

This is a puffin in Sea World.
Here are some pictures I took on my trip to Florida. I hope you like them!

This small gator in Sea World, reminded me of the Everglades.
This turtle wouldn't stick his head up! But I got the perfect shot!
This is a picture of Hogwarts, the castle in  Harry Potter World.
He might look cute, but he is the biggest food beggar I've ever seen in my life! This sea lion made a lot of noise just for food!
Snoopy as an astronaut!

My Trip to Florida

I took an 8-day trip to Florida last week with my family. We had a blast! We visited Sea World, Universal Studios, the Kennedy Space Center, and Downtown Disney. We also went to the Melbourne beach and Disney Quest, which is in Downtown Disney. I want you to know about my trip so you can visit the attractions some day and have an enjoyable vacation as I did!

Day 1
Friday was the day I go on vacation! The morning is unchanged than other ones. Camp, Advanced Math, the big ceremony, and ZAP! The time went super rapid from waking up from bed to getting on the plane. Oh, and here’s something I want to recommend if you are going to theme parks and beaches: Wear flip-flops but pack shoes, too (with socks) because shoes are excellent for theme parks, while flip-flops are worthy for beaches!  So… where was I? Oh yeah, I was boarding the plane. I was bored to death on the plane but it was only a 2 ½ flight to Orlando, Florida. When we got to Orlando, we rented a vehicle, and drove to our hotel. We had a wonderful view of Orlando and Universal Studios from our hotel. We could see the top of Hogwarts castle and the roller coasters!  We got to our hotel late that night, and I was very tired. I thought about this morning and how I was doing the usual, boring routine. But now? Here I am, in my hotel room with family, enjoying our week off. Now that’s what I call vacation.

Day 2
The next morning we were really behind schedule. The plan was to wake up really early, have breakfast downstairs, leave early, and get to Sea World, early. But, um… the plan didn’t really work out for my dad and me. My mom, on the other hand, is always on schedule. My dad and I, well, you get the point.
Shamu in Sea World
When we arrived at Sea World, we went through security, and we talked about our game plan. We passed some bright pink flamingos. We went straight to the dolphin area. We also got to feed the dolphins which was very spectacular. We went into a lot of aquariums, too. We saw more sea animals after that, then we went on the Atlantic water ride, which had the longest line I’ve ever seen, but the ride was worth waiting for! I went on two roller coasters; Kracken and Manta. If I go to Sea World again, I would prefer Manta because it is more terrifying! I still like Kracken, though. WARNING: If you have glasses, take them off when you are riding the Manta. If you want, you can take them off during the Kracken ride. Afterward, we had a quick lunch,  followed by more marine animals. We went to a couple shows which were absolutely impressive. But you get wet. I don’t know about you but I like getting wet! We bought some souvenirs and went back to our hotel because we were super exhausted. Yes, it was a fantastic day, but our feet ache from standing in line for a long time and from walking.  I assume we’ll just have to get used to that.

Day 3
Third day of our trip: Universal Studios. I was very worried because when we went to Sea World, our feet hurt a lot, but I didn’t want to go through that nasty pain, again. At the end of the day, they did hurt, but not as much.
Like always, I went on a couple roller coasters and a lot of rides. My family and I also watched a little Shrek 4-D movie. It was very creative and went with the other Shrek movies. My favorite character is Donkey because he is really hilarious. We took a lot of pictures. If you watched HOP, (I did) do you remember those bunny girls who went searching for EB? I took pictures with them in Universal. They were really charming.
At the end of the day, I was really tired, but less exhausted than yesterday at Sea World. But overall, it was a magnificent day!

Day 4
Today we were going to Universal, but we are going to Island of Adventure, instead. First we  went to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter because we couldn't wait. We’re too impatient. The trick is to get in the front of the line and do the Harry Potter’s Forbidden Journey ride first. No, do not stop at Three Broomsticks, Ollivander’s, Honeydukes, Zonko’s, and all those other shops. Yes, it is very tempting but don’t. Ollivander’s does have a gigantic line, but probably not as much as the major ride in Harry Potter World.  My family and I went on that ride two times. The first time, the line was super long, and we were at the end of the line. For the second time, well, we knew what to expect, so we left our hotel early, and while we were walking to Harry Potter World, we went in front of everybody. The line was enormous, but we were in the front of the line. If I were you, I would go lightweight. A small water bottle and a camera would be fine, because there are lockers, and sometimes, it there are lines for them. I LOVE THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER! (And Butterbeer)
We also did other stuff to, other than Harry Potter World. There are speedy roller coasters, rides suitable for small children and adults, and there are shows too! If you are hungry, there should be a snack stop near you. So what I’m trying to say is, no matter where you are, you are always going to find a place to eat that is near you!
At the end of the day my family and I were tired and exhausted, but happy. The main reason, we came is because we were dying to see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Day 5

On Tuesday, we went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. First, we speed-walked to Harry Potter World because we know what to expect. We went ahead of everybody and we left early. We did the main ride, then we went on the Dragon Challenge roller coaster. It was super fast. The good news was, my parents went on with me!! We had butterbeer, and then we went out of Islands of Adventure and rode the rides we didn’t have time for in Universal Studios.

Day 6
The day after that, we drove to Downtown Disney and Disney Quest! Disney Quest is like 3-4 times bigger than Chuck-E-Cheese’s. Disney Quest has different unique games to. Parents might not find it as much interesting as the kids and teens might. I loved it a lot, but my parents…not so much. I am a big racing and car fan, so I liked the racing games the best.
In Downtown Disney, it’s like an old fashioned downtown, but more “Disneyish”. Little children will love it, especially little girls, because of The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Day 7
On Thursday, we went to the NASA Kennedy Space Center. We are taking a bus tour, having lunch with an astronaut, and we are also looking forward to exploring different areas! My favorite part about the Kennedy Space Center, was when my family and I had lunch with an astronaut. Other people were there, too, of course. Fred Gregory was the astronaut we saw. He told us his life story and how he grew up to becoming an astronaut. One thing that surprised me was when he told us that he got tired of being an astronaut, so he quit! But I still enjoyed the delicious lunch.

We also took a bus tour, which was very informative. The host was funny, and we got to see buildings, places, and more, that not everybody gets to see. During the us tour, we saw the rocket that NASA was going to launch tomorrow. I suggest you take a bus tour when you explore the NASA center.

At the end of the day, we watched a small play of Star Trek and had a small snack. I was truly going to miss this place.

Day 8

On Friday, I was very cheerless because tomorrow, we would be leaving. But it was more of a “water day”. We swam a lot and went into a surf shop. Today we also watched a rocket launch called JUNO.  It was super speedy!
We swam in Melbourne Beach and swam in our hotel local pool. It felt fresh to be in water.  I collect sea shells, too, so when I was at the beach, I spotted some really cool ones. And the best part was, our hotel and our room were oceanfront! We could hear the waves from our room.

Day 9

Today was a very sorrowful day. Leaving Florida was horrible. But my mom said if you don’t miss your vacation, then it’s not a vacation. So she was saying, you should miss it.
My family and I travel a lot, so I will be writing at least two big posts every year!  Good bye, Florida!
