My Experience at Noodles and Company

On Wednesday, a new restaurant is going to open in our town! It's called Noodles and Company. But today, they had a little VIP preview of the restaurant. My dad received an invitation in the email. And the food that we got was FREE!

A couple of things I liked about Noodles and Company is their decor and ambience. There was also a little dine-out seating area. I wanted to sit inside, because I was afraid it was going to be too hot. But my parents wanted to sit outside, so we did. Our waitress was very kind, and the people who welcomed us to the restaurant were also very nice.

I ate butter noddles. It was vegetarian, and I had an option to add meatballs in it.  It tasted really good. If I had to rate it between 1-10, (1=bad and 10=good) I would rate it a 9.5. My dad ordered pasta fresco. It, too, was vegetarian, but he had an option to add chicken.  He also had to choose parmesan or feta cheese. He chose parmesan. My mom ordered the same thing as my dad, but she chose feta cheese.

My experience at Noodles and Company was great! I loved it a lot. I hope to go there again.

The Track Meet

Today our school had our track meet at City High. At first, I was really scared, because this was my first actual track meet. My events were tug-of-war, 3-legged race, and hoop shoot.

My team, Teresa, Ella, Jenneifer, Meleah, Angie, and I lost two tug-of-wars and won one. Our team automatically won because the other team didn't show up. Then we lost against Wickham School and Coralville Central. But we tried our best.

My 3-legged race partner, Teresa and I got 2nd place in the race. So we made it into the finals. But unfortunately, we got 7th place. I think Teresa and I still did good, though.

I didn't do hoop shoot because all the Weber kids were shouting, so I couldn't hear the man calling out events.

Nonetheless, I only participated because I wanted to have fun and be with my friends! I can't wait until next year for the track meet!

The Talent Show

On Thursday, at my school's after-school's program, there was a talent show. What was I doing? Find out.

A week before the talent show, My friend and decided we were going to play a duet. But then that idea started to subside. Since we both knew we liked Selena Gomez, we decided to sing one of her songs. We chose "Naturally". We practiced and practiced.

A couple of days later a group of girls said they need more backup dancers. I knew I wasn't one of those "think-of-some dance-moves-in-a-minute" type of a person but I did know they were dancing to a song called "A Year Without Rain" by Selena Gomez. So my friend and I agreed to dance. There were 2 lead singers and 6 backup dancers. I was one of them. We all practiced very hard. Although we made a few mistakes while practicing, our performance went very well.

What happened with "Naturally"? Don't worry. My friend and I still sang.

So it all went really good.

P.S. In two days,I have my school's track meet! I will post something about it on Monday night!

My First Post

Hi everybody!
This is my first blog post, so I want to dedicate this to my friend, Jessie. She has been my friend ever since I can remember. I have known her since I was one!!!

She really is a "BFF" (Best Friend Forever)! She moved to another state five years ago. But we are still in contact with each other.

I also want to dedicate this to my friends, Anna and Teresa, for always being there for me.

Anyways, I hope you read my blog from time to time.
