A couple of months ago, I completed the book, Circle of Secrets By Kimberley Griffiths Little. This marvelous book about a young girl named Shelby Jayne who's parents are divorced. She lives with her "lady-like" Grandmother Phoebe and her beloved dad. Shelby Jayne's mom, Mirage moved to a bayou swamp three months ago and Shelby hasn't seen her ever since. Suddenly, Shelby's dad receives a job offer in Russia so he leaves Shelby with her mom, Mirage. The thing is, Shelby doesn't want to see her mom or live with her. Once Shelby starts school, people make fun of her because Mirage lives in a swamp. Later, she meets a mysterious friend, Gwen, who doesn't have a family or go to school.
Shelby Jayne can't help wondering if the mysterious notes she's been receiving has something to do with her mysterious friend. There's only one person she can ask; her mom, Mirage.
I love this book! It's definitely a page turner. Every page you read gets you thinking and every chapter leaves you wondering what's going to happen next.
Out of ten, (1=horrible, 10=favorite book) I would rate it a 9.9. I hope you love this book just like I did!
